The Xinhua News Agency reported that the Chinese NDRC (National Development and Reform Commission) has given Amoi Electronics a license to produce CDMA mobile phones. The company will invest 198.7 million RMB in an assembly plant, which is expected to be ready within the next year and which will have an annual production capacity of 1.5 million units. The company will be exempted from import duties and value-added tax.
